The team at Motortech.ai share their key take-aways from Automotive Management Live 2025. What’s on retailers’ minds when it comes to AI, how the best solutions are delivering real value and what’s next. This blog covers key themes from the day:
This year's AM Live 2025 brought together hundreds of people from dealers, OEMs and technology partners at the NEC in Birmingham – all focussed on shaping the next era of automotive retail.
For Motortech.ai, it was more than a showcase – it was a chance to connect directly with automotive dealerships embracing artificial intelligence to transform their customer journeys. The shift to AI is now seen as an operational necessity and we’ll dig into why trust is paramount in this journey.
This year's AM Live 2025 in Birmingham confirmed that AI is now a central, essential tool in automotive retail. Dealers need it to tackle real operational challenges, especially centred around customer interaction. Response speeds, quality of conversation and out-of-hours engagement all felt crucial to driving customer satisfaction. On our stand, AIME, our AI-powered sales agent, showed exactly how it delivers 24/7 customer conversations, and the reaction was universal: “We need this talking to our customers now.”
The next phase of digital transformation blends automation with the expertise of sales teams. AI handles routine customer interaction so people can focus on the human moments that matter.
Retailers’ biggest question was simple: “Can we trust this?” Three elements consistently built confidence:
On the day we bumped into one of our existing customers, Sohib Ghafouri, founder of Infinity Motors. Trust is crucial for him and in his own words:
“The quality and human-like nature of conversations is impressive. I trust her to speak to my customers. It’s so much better than other providers we’ve tried before.”
Sohib Ghafouri - Founder and Director, Infinity Motors
Dealers are far more informed about AI than they were a year ago. Many have experienced disappointment with solutions that promise a lot, but don’t deliver. Whether due to complex technical integration requirements, AI being added as an after-thought to a legacy system, a failure to understand the automotive sales process or conversations that go off-track and don’t feel natural. It’s relatively easy to spin up an AI solution, much harder to make it deliver.
Motortech.ai’s deep automotive experience was a clear differentiator. Our team’s background across franchise, independent, OEM and marketplace environments shapes every part of the platform.
Car buyers now expect the sales experience to match the instant conversational feel of e-commerce, without the pressure of in-person sales advisors. AM Live 2025 made it clear that speed, accuracy and trust define customer satisfaction.
Dealers who can respond instantly when consumers need it by answering questions, booking test drives and even proposing finance options out of hours are gaining a decisive advantage.
Our data shows that 42% of AIME’s conversations happen outside business hours, demonstrating how AI bridges that expectation gap and keeps dealerships always open.
Moving beyond AM Live 2025, we’re focussing on helping dealerships improve customer interactions, response times and sell smarter through the power of AI. In the near future we expect to see more integration between dealership management systems, CRM platforms and AI assistants creating more seamless omnichannel experiences.
Expect updates from us early 2026 on:
AM Live 2025 confirmed what we believe in, AI isn’t replacing people its empowering them. Empowering with solutions that, when done right, can create a step change in customer engagement, conversion and sales efficiency.
A huge thank you to everyone who visited our stand, shared our insights and joined in the conversation. If you couldn’t make it to Birmingham, why not book a demo today to see how AIME is already shaping the way UK dealerships connect with customers.
